VEX Robotics

What is VEX Robotics?

It's the largest and fastest growing middle and high school robotics program with more than 16,000 teams from 40 countries playing in over 1,000 competitions worldwide. Each year, an exciting engineering challenge is presented in the form of a game. Students, with guidance from their coaches and mentors, build innovative robots and compete year-round in a variety of matches.  In addition to learning valuable engineering skills, students gain life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, communication, collaboration, project management, and critical thinking. The VEX Robotics Competition prepares students to become future innovators with participants reporting an increased interest in STEM subject areas and pursuing STEM-related careers.

This years game is called: SPIN UP

How does this all work: This is a team for students and parents that want to participate in competitive robotics.  There is a good deal of time and money commitment needed to be a successful team. Please read through the all of the following information and use the FAQs linked at the bottom to help you decided if this is right for you.

This group is meant to be a support system for school teams. It only works if we all work and help one another. I am here to guide and support teams with my knowledge and past experience.

  1. All teams first need a coach and parents/guardians this is where you come in.  This responsibility can be on one parent or can be shared amongst parents.       (Note: Don't need to have any experience as this is a student centered club)
